Increased pasture productivity and substantial agronomic and environmental improvements on the farm, with increased aquifer storage providing effective subsurface pasture irrigation; reduced velocities of stream and floodplain flow velocity, reducing channel incision and soil erosion; recreation of a "chain of ponds" system, colonised by dense reed beds; a sustainable farming system with very low inputs of chemical fertiliser through the effective internal cycling of nutrients .
